VELP CARBON / NITROGEN ANALYZER

The VELP CN 802 Carbon / Nitrogen Elemental Analyzer is a fully automated, high-throughput analytical instrument designed for fast, accurate, and simultaneous determination of Carbon (C) and Nitrogen (N) contents. Operating on the Dumas high-temperature combustion method, it processes solid, semi-solid, and liquid samples across diverse industrial applications.

Detection Technology

• Carbon Detection (IR): Utilizes a Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) detector (HighSensIR™) capable of measuring both high and low carbon concentrations ranging from a few ppm up to 150 mg absolute carbon.

• Nitrogen Detection (TCD): Employs a Thermal Conductivity Detector (LoGas™ TCD) designed for trace to high-level nitrogen analysis without requiring a reference gas, minimizing overall gas consumption.

Technical & Operational Specifications

• Rapid Analysis Time: Delivers simultaneous Carbon and Nitrogen test results in 3 to 5 minutes per sample.

• High-Capacity Autosampler: Accommodates an electronic autosampler holding up to 4 discs (30 positions each), processing up to 117 samples sequentially for unsupervised operation.

• Gas Flexibility: Supports operation using either Helium (He) or Argon (Ar) as carrier gas without requiring hardware modifications.

• Combustion Efficiency: Operates at high combustion temperatures (~1100°C / 2012°F) using two-step water removal traps (DriStep™ physical trap + chemical trap) to ensure clean gas streams.

• Software & Compliance: Controlled via intuitive CNSoft™ software featuring pre-installed method libraries, custom method creation capabilities, and compatibility options for 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
